Slain Atlanta Rapper's Mother to Attend Preliminary Hearing in Los Angeles

Atlanta, GA, June 17, 2009 -- Dawneé Robinson, mother of late Atlanta- based rapper Roderick Anthony Burton II, professionally known as Dolla, will be attending the preliminary hearing for Aubrey Berry set to begin Wednesday, June 24th in the Los Angeles Criminal Court House. Berry, the accused murderer of Burton has been held in a LA county jail from the time of his arrest in LAX when he was found with the alleged murder weapon.

A month following the violent passing of her son, Robinson is prepared to break her silence and speak out about the life and death of her son. "It took me this long to wrap my mind around him not physically being here. I realized that he is speaking through me. He has always spoke life and I have to continue what he started. I feel like I am not going to stop him from being heard, when this is his mission in life. He wanted to move people not just through music but through his actions. I will never allow him to be a "was." He is amazing and the world will come to know that."
